1928 – 2015
PARIS — Robert Moore, 86, of Lewiston, a former Long Island, N.Y., resident, died Tuesday July 7, at Maine Veterans’ Home in Paris.
He was born in California on Aug. 3, 1928, the son of the late Percy and Edith (Heath) Moore.
He was graduate of Westfield High School in Massachusetts and Ricker College of Maine.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving as a medic, and was awarded the Bronze Star.
On July 27, 2000, he married the former Joan Podewils of Lewiston, who survives him.
He is survived by nine children and stepchildren.
