TURNER — MSAD 52 Adult and Community Education announces August events.

Children’s Theatre Fun: Back by popular demand, from Monday, Aug. 3 to Friday, Aug. 7, campers will learn how to build a character, tell a story, create a set and entertain an audience. There will be a performance on Thursday for parents and friends. Open to students in grades kindergarten through sixth. Participants should bring lunch and water and wear comfy shoes and clothing but not flip flops.

Summer Art Journal: This is a new class and runs Monday, Aug. 3 to Friday, Aug. 7, for ages 7 to 15. Students will spend a week binding their own summer journal and filling it with inspired writing and art. Each day features a different art activity including image transfers, collage poetry, shaving cream paper marbling and more. The last part of the week, bookbinding techniques will be taught so they can put their marvelous journal together.

Kids Wellness Camp: This one day class on Wednesday, Aug. 5, will empower children ages 10 to 16 as they build self-esteem through visualization and breathing techniques, improve concentration, self-control, and enhance their overall well-being.

Tap it Away: This class on Wednesday, Aug. 5, will feature a simplified version of two different tapping techniques designed to relieve personal suffering and pain. Tapping on acupressure points promotes energy flow and facilitates self-healing, similar to acupuncture, without the use of needles.

Alcohol Ink Painting: Experience the joy of painting with alcohol inks on tile in a class Wednesday, Aug. 5. Participants will be amazed at the unparalleled color, spontaneity and vibrancy. No experience necessary.
