Rogers Post won the second game, 10-9, after falling behind 9-0 through 2½ innings. Michael Hammond, Jarod Plourde, Lawrence, Elijah Roe and Brandon Varney each had a pair of hits in the come-from-behind win. Lawrence also led the way with a pair of RBIs.

Both teams, playing in their final game of the regular season, used a bevy of pitchers in the nightcap. Mason Brushwein eneded up as the winner for Rogers after pitching the last part of the sixth and and the top of the seventh.

Matt Smith suffered the loss for Bessey Motors.

In the first game, Rogers’ bats came alive early and stayed hot. The home team pounded out 13 hits and outpaced Bessey 16-6, ending the game in the sixth inning via the 10-run mercy rule.

Drew Lashua paced Rogers in the opener with three hits and four RBIs. Plourde had a pair of hits, including a double, two RBIs and three runs scored, and Michael Hammond scored four times.

Varney was the winning pitcher in the opener, lasting into the sixth inning. Aiden Heikkinen was tagged with the loss for Bessey. Brady Lafrance led the visitors with a pair of hits, including a double, and two runs scored.

Bessey Motors had already locked up the top seed in the Zone 2 tourney, though they ended the season on a three-game losing streak after winning their first 15.

Rogers finishes the season at 12-6.
