AUBURN — The First Universalist Church of Auburn has awarded its 2015 Rose Window honors to three members whose efforts have made a significant impact on the health and vibrancy of the church. This annual award cites members who have been outstanding models of Unitarian Universalist principles and recognizes their exceptional contributions to their faith community.

Peggy Cox of Auburn has been selected as a recipient of the annual award.

Cox is described as a strong, gentle presence in the life of the congregation. As chair of the Membership Committee, she welcomes newcomers and supports those in need with phone calls or visits.

She has served on the board of directors, the Caring Network, chairs the baked goods table at the annual Gingerbread Fair and shares her photographic skills for the newsletter. Peggy is described as a quiet voice of compassion and reassurance who consistently lives out the UU principles.
