Several Maine venues welcome the Stanfields on their first U.S. tour. “We are about to find out what Canada already knows. The Stanfields are all about the story, the music, and the energy,” Phill McIntyre, director New England Celtic Arts said.

Everyone has a story to tell about The Stanfields. If you don’t, give it time. The Stanfields attract fans of all classes and creeds with their rhythm-fueled traditional roots sounds. There are no glamorous motives, just three working-class Canadians with an honest desire to entertain. The band’s first acoustic project,”For King and Country” was released in Canada on Ground Swell/Warner and in Germany on Rookie Records in October 2013.

Stanfields frontman and lead writer, Jon Landry explains: “There was no motive to write ‘For King and Country’ other than trying to challenge ourselves. As songwriters, we always have an axe to grind in terms of lyrical expression. That will never change. They will be presenting their full acoustic version of ‘King and Country.’ Tight harmonies and seasoned musicians. Stories and song will be the order of the day.”
