LEWISTON — The Advisory Board of Healthy Androscoggin announced that Erin E. Guay, MPH, was named executive director.
Guay has a long history with Healthy Androscoggin. She has been the cultural and linguistic competency manager for Healthy Androscoggin since November 2014, and she previously served as health promotion manager for seven years. In addition, she has served as interim director for the organization on two separate occasions.
She has completed several leadership institutes, including the Health Literacy Institute, Leadership Institute for New Executive Directors through the Maine Association of Non-Profits, and the Androscoggin Leadership Development Institute through the Androscoggin Chamber of Commerce. In addition, she also has extensive grant-writing experience.
As executive director, Guay will oversee close to $1 million in grants addressing Healthy Androscoggin’s core goals of supporting tobacco free lifestyles, preventing youth substance use, encouraging physical activity, promoting healthy eating and preventing childhood lead poisoning.
