WINDHAM — Nellie Pressey, 95, died Sunday, August 2.
She was born in Cowdenbeath, Scotland, on May 20, 1920, a daughter of Robert and Janet Alan Paterson. Nellie was a member of the British Army and after the war she immigrated to the United States. She was married to John Pressey who predeceased her.
Nellie spent most of her life as a homemaker. She played piano and knitted. Nellie enjoyed gardening and baking. She was a member of the Poland Grange. She was a member of the MacLaren Clan of Scotland.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two children, Jean L. Pressey and John Richard Pressey.
Survivors include her children, Robert James Pressey, Catherine Janet Pressey, Allan George Pressey; several brothers and a sister; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
