NORWAY — Shirli Allen Heald, music director at the Second Congregational Church, UCC of Norway, has been busy recruiting musicians from near and far for August worship music.

She remarks, “It is a very interesting part of my job. I can arrange unique, wonderful and uplifting music for the 9 a.m. services and I am able to interact with a variety of talented vocal and instrumental musicians from outside and within our congregation.”

Talented local performer, Ed Baldridge of West Paris will provide piano and vocal music each week through Aug. 23.

The week of Aug. 16, Jim Hamalainen, local music educator and exceptional acoustic guitarist, will return the week of Aug. 16.

Kelsey Franklin, known to local audiences by her many dynamic roles in OMPAAH and Community Musical productions, will be singing Aug. 30.

Elaine Emery returns to the pipe organ during worship on Aug. 30.

The Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St., invites all to worship, study and join in fellowship.
