RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Charlotte M. “Chy” Tanguay, of Lewiston and formerly of Mexico, was conducted on Saturday, Aug. 8, at noon, at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius – St. John Church, 126 Maine Ave., Rumford, with the Rev. James Martel as celebrant. Altar sssistant was Bernard Poirier. Organist was Nicholas Puiia III. Music selections included “Be Not Afraid,” “Hear I Am Lord,” “The Prayer of St. Francis” and “Amazing Grace.” The first reading from the Book of Wisdom from the Old Testament was pronounced by Elizabeth Tanguay. The second reading from the Second Letter of Paul to the Corinthians from the New Testament was pronounced by her granddaughter, Christie-Marie Folsom. The Prayers of the Faithful were pronounced by a family friend, Carol Breau. Presenting the gifts were her niece, Marie Tanguay, and daughter-in-law, Robyn Bitondo. The eulogy was given her grandson, Dale Brown. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. James Martel. Interment was at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Pallbearers were Jackie Tanguay, Lisa Brown, Marie Tanguay, Elizabeth Tanguay-Collins, Christie-Marie Folsom and Linda Tanguay. A reception followed at the Parish Hall of St. Athanasius –  St. John Church. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader  & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
