1922 – 2015
WINTHROP — Gladys M. Brackley, 92, a resident of Winthrop, formerly of Livermore Falls, died Saturday, Aug. 8, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 29, 1922, in Stratton, the daughter of Hillard and Alice (Hanson) Towensen. Gladys attended school in Stratton. In 1940, she married Cecil W. Brackley; he passed away April 5, 2009. They made their home on Park Street in Livermore Falls and were happily married for 69 years. Gladys enjoyed knitting, crocheting, studying the Bible and painting framed wall pictures of Jesus.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews; special friends, Shirley Hersey of Turner and Roberta Hutchinson of Winthrop.
