EAST DIXFIELD — The Countryfolk Music Theatre will host its annual youth music scholarship awards Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 5 and 6.

Larry Bisbee, operator of the popular venue, said this year’s scholarship weekend is called Country & Classic Cars. It will feature vintage autos, ’50’s and ’60’s music on Saturday, deejays and live bands, a country jamboree, free bean and potluck supper and a free ’50’s dance Saturday night with Gambol Creek.

On Sunday, there will be six hours of country music and Countryfolk youth music scholarships awarded.

“Over the past 16 years we have been able to award cash from donations to 36 youths,” Bisbee said. “Many of them have come back to perform as our special guests.”

The event is free and open to the public. For more information call 207-595-3115 or go to www.facebook.com/larry.bisbee.1
