PERU — The Rumford Senior Center has announced the lobster and clam bake scheduled for September has been canceled due to lack of interest.
The center will host a spaghetti lunch with salad and dessert at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, at the Rumford Senior Center on Main Street. The cost is $5 for members or $6 for nonmembers.
The group will also host an end-of-summer barbecue Monday, Sept. 21. Those planning to attend are asked to inform the center if they would like a hamburger or a hot dog by calling 562-7700. Salads and dessert will be served.
The group will take a trip to the Fryeburg Fair at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6. The group will leave from the center. Reservations are requested by calling 562-7700. The cost is $10 for members or $15 for nonmembers.
The center will host a Christmas craft and bake sale Saturday, Nov. 28. The cost is $15 for a small table or $25 for a large table.
The group will take a White Mountains Christmas tour from Dec. 2 to 4. A deposit of $50 to reserve a spot is due by Sept. 10. The cost is $389 a person. A final payment is due in October.
