PARIS — From Sept. 18 through 20, Celebration Barn Theater will present the launch of “Traveling Light,” the newest touring production to come out of the Barn.

“Traveling Light” combines theater, circus and spectacle. Directed by Fritz Grobe, the show explores a mysterious world where passing travelers meet ghostly, larger-than-life puppets and jugglers spin beams of light in the dark.

Featured performers include award-winning Cirque du Soleil performer Thom Wall, New York physical comedian Becca Bernard, Maine actress Marjolaine Whittlesey, comedic actor Collin Miclon and Cirque Mechanics juggler Shane Miclon.

Director Fritz Grobe is an award-winning juggler, choreographer and video creator. Winner of five gold medals at the International Jugglers Festival, he was a lead actor and featured solo clown in the Cirque du Soleil spin-off “Birdhouse Factory.” Over the past nine years, he has been known for his work with EepyBird (a.k.a. the Coke and Mentos guys), whose Internet videos have been seen over 150 million times. They have received two Emmy nominations, four Webby awards, and appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “The Today Show,” “Mythbusters,” and more.

The creation of “Traveling Light” was funded in part by a grant from the Maine Arts Commission, an independent state agency supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
