MINOT — Minot’s annual Community Cay was enjoyed by many on Aug. 29.

The kids decorated bike parade started at the school and traveled to Community Park via Mustang Lane.

Several teachers led by Mrs. Rawson with help from the Community Club set up story boards, pages from a complete story. The reading sites were on the trail between the school and town office.

Hot dogs, slaw and baked beans were sold by the Minot Historical Society.

Boy Scout Troop 139 had ice cream Saturdays. Each customer added their choice of toppings and banana.

The Girl Scouts sold fancy show-cones.

At 1:30 p.m., the young’ens had their pie eating contest. Talen Langevin was the winner. The teen contest was won by Elizabeth Smith-Hodgkin.

The park’s final ball field is ready for seeding. A local business has pledged $2,500 if Minot and Hebron folks will donate money to match their offer.
