LIVERMORE FALLS — Family, friends and neighbors are invited to the Livermore Falls Recreation Field for the annual Apple Pumpkin Festival on Saturday.

The hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

This Sept. 26 event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is sponsored by the Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce. It attracts thousands each year.

It will feature a variety of vendors and artisans, agricultural products, historical and educational displays, seasonal decorations, antique tractors, raffles and plenty of food, served by the Lions Club and Area Youth Sports. 

The following musicians will be performing:

10 to 11 a.m., L & D Country

11 a.m. to noon, Matt & Leah Gilbert

Noon to 1 p.m., Off The Hill

1 to 2 p.m., Paul Bright

2 to 3 p.m., Pat Libby

Also returning is the Tiger Slide, as well as the Bounce House and climbing wall. The Spruce Mountain Area Robotics Team will bring its robot from last year’s competition and have a display.

New this year is an Olde Tyme Theme, Apple Pumpkin Festival Committee Chairperson Christine Fournier said.

“We do have a one-lung type steam engine that’s going to be there,” she said.

So far, the festival has more than 20 vendors, but there’s room for more, Fournier said. People can sign up by calling her at 897-4555.

There is no rain date for the festival.

“We’re hoping for a bright sunny day,”  Fournier said.

Community events during the festival include a book giveaway from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Treat Memorial Library, 56 Main St., and tours of the Maine Paper and Heritage Museum at 22 Church St. during the day.
