JAY — The North Jay Water District lifted a boil-water order Wednesday that went into effect Sept. 24 after a waterline broke. The order pertained only to customers who had lost their water.
“All customers may now resume normal consumption of water from the system, as water samples were tested at a lab in Augusta and determined safe for public consumption,” district Treasurer Ronald Moreau said in a news release. “The water district wishes to express their thanks to all who were inconvenienced by this incident.”
