FARMINGTON — Police said they charged two women with criminal mischief for spray-painting graffiti on the gazebo in Meetinghouse Park on Wednesday evening.
Annalisa Haase, 19, of Portland, and Julia Richardson, 21, of Yarmouth, were given summons by Farmington police officer Ryan Rosie, according to his report.
Haase and Richardson were visiting friends in Farmington. The women and a third, local person also were given trespass warnings to not return to the park.
Someone noticed some activity in the gazebo about 8 p.m. and called police. When they arrived, they found purple and black lettering spray-painted on the inside of the gazebo, as well as one of the women, who was still at the scene.
