Fourteen boys and nine girls from the Mt. Blue High School Cross-Country team ran personal best times at the Festival Of Champions at Belfast last Saturday.
The Festival Of Champions is Maine’s largest high school competition. There are six different races (three for boys and three for girls) with the results of all races combined for team results. Of the 77 schools participating, the Mt. Blue girls team placed 15th and the boys were 17th.
Top finisher for the boys was Tucker Barber in 38th place. Other boys posting lifetime best times were Zeke Robinson, Jon Lesko, Isaac Seigle, Trevayne Jackson, Ian Burke, Sam Stinson, Jesse Dalton, Hunter Hutchinson, Sawyer Zundel, Justin Marston, Ian Berry, Tommy Eng, and Ben Luchini.
Maggie Hickey was the top finisher for the girls with a 39th place finish. Other lifetime bests for the girls came from Meg Charles, Emily McCarthy, Maeve Hickey, Grace Andrews, Emily Ramsey, Audrey Keith, Brooklyn Winters, and Annaset Jackson.
