SACO (AP) — Police have identified a 26-year-old Buxton woman who was killed after she was thrown from her car on Route 112 in Saco.

Shannan Carrier was driving a 2006 Nissan Altima sedan on Wednesday morning near Thibodeau’s Dairy when her car crossed the center line and collided with a 2008 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck.

Carrier was ejected from the car and declared dead on the scene. Police say Carrier’s car split in two from the impact.

Police are not identifying the 48-year-old Standish man who was driving the pickup, pending notification of his family. Police say he was taken to Maine Medical Center but they had no update on his condition.

Police would not say what caused the crash.
