AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library has announced its November programming for teenagers.

Tweens in the Teen Space: Noon to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 4 and 18 — Tweens are invited to join us in the Teen Space on the second floor on half-day Wednesdays. Tweens can get a head start on homework, make crafts or play board games or hang out. This program is just for sixth graders.

Teen Anime Club: 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, in the Androscoggin Room — Get animated over anime! Teenagers 12 to 18 can drop in to talk about their favorite (or least favorite) manga, watch this week’s selection of anime and try their hands at drawing their own characters. This program was made possible by a generous gift of the P&G Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation. Snacks will be provided.

Teens! Friday @ the Movies featuring “Mockingjay (Part 1)”: 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, in the Androscoggin Room — Teens can relax and enjoy a movie. This month, because “Mockingjay Part 2” will be in theaters soon, the library will show “Part 1.” This program is just for teenagers ages 13 to 18 and will include a snack.

Teen Snack Chat!: 3 to 4 p.m. Mondays, Nov. 9 and 23 — Twice a month teens will enjoy a healthy after-school snack and engage in conversation about current events. As the series continues, the library hopes to invite guest speakers to weigh in during the conversations. This program is provided by support from Jim Pittman and is just for teenagers, ages 12 to 18.

Gaming Hour: 4 to 5 p.mFridays, Nov. 13 and 27 — Teens can stop by the Androscoggin Room on the lower level for video games and snacks. The library has an Xbox and Wii with games rated teen and younger. This program was made possible by a generous gift of the P&G Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.

Maine Job Corps: 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, in the Conference Room — Jill Moody of the Maine Job Corps will visit teens and new adults at the library to explain how the program works and who is eligible. Preregistration is required by calling 207-540-0216.

Teens! DIY Takeover: Wednesday, Nov. 18, 4 to 5 p.m. in the Teen Space — Each month will feature a different do-it-yourself project. This month, teens will be making hand turkeys — just like in kindergarten (as requested by the teens)! Snacks will be provided. Just for teenagers, ages 12 to 18.

Drop In Visits: Safe Voices & SAPARS: 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19 — Julia from Safe Voices and Molly from the Sexual Assault Prevention & Response Services are tag-teaming it this month! Come visit with them in the Teen Space – just to chat or to do an activity. This program is for teenagers ages 12 to 18.

Teens! Flashback Friday: 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 — Flashback Friday! will have some favorite childhood activities, including Legos, Play Doh, puzzles and Candyland. It’ll also feature childhood favorite snacks. This program is just for teenagers ages 12 to 18.

Tweens & Teens! Genealogy Scrapbooking Workshop: 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, in the Conference Room — “Genealogy … what is it and why should I care?” If you’ve ever been curious about your family roots, don’t miss this workshop, led by Emily Schroeder from the Maine State Library. This program is open to tweens and teenagers, ages 9 to 18, but preregistration is required as space is limited. FMI, register: 207-333-6640, ext. 4.

DIY Teens! Media Club: Wednesday, Nov. 25, 4 to 5 p.m. — Movies! Music! Graphic arts! If you can imagine it, you can create it in the Media Lab. Teenagers 12 to 18 can join our Media Club and make trailers, podcasts and more that the library will post on its website.
