LEWISTON — Bruce Ian Hewison, 58, of Allagash died Tuesday, Nov. 3, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Jan. 25, 1957, in Lewiston, son of Melburne E. and Alberta M. (Boardway) Hewison. Bruce was a graduate of Edward Little High School in 1975. Bruce worked as a insulator throughout his entire life for many companies such as Central Maine Power, Maine Yankee and other local insulation companies. He enjoyed his time outdoors, hiking, camping and fishing with his friends. Bruce took great pride in his children and grandchildren.
Bruce is survived by his son, Nicholas Hewison and wife, Mandie, of Poland; his daughter, Victoria and her husband, Adam, of Maine; 10 grandchildren, Devyn, Dylan, Zachary, Kylie, Isabelle, Taryn, Gabrielle, Josslyn, Jordan and Ashlyn; his sister, Eilean Allen and her husband, Dennis, of Dover- Foxcroft; his brother, James Hewison and his wife, Heidi, of Hebron; nieces, Amanda, Meaghan and Brittany; and two nephews, Ian and Dennis.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents.
