AUBURN — Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1603, 588 Minot Ave., will host Comedian “Krazy Jake” Hodgdon on Saturday, Nov. 14, for an evening of stand-up comedy.

Actor/comedian Jake Hodgdon, known as “Krazy Jake,” is one of the fastest-rising comedians in New England. In the past three years alone he has performed more than 450 times in front of more than 250,000 people at venues large and small throughout New England and into New York and Canada. He recently recorded his first CD, which was released in early 2015, and he is currently starring in the Animal Planet TV show “Yankee Jungle.”

The Maine native is a high-energy blue-collar comedian. His storytelling and unique style of humor, mixed with quirky observational humor is always performed in his native Maine tongue.

“I try to keep it simple. . .to me that is the funniest material, everyday humor that we can all identify with. My style is not about embarrassing and degrading people or one-upping the audience. I’m simply trying to make people laugh. If people are laughing, then they are having fun. . .if they are having fun, I am doing my job and earning my money,” said Hodgdon.

All proceeds from the show will continue to support local veterans programs to include homeless veterans shelters, displaced veterans and families of wounded/disabled veterans.

Presale tickets cost $20 and are available at the Post Thursdays and Fridays after 4 p.m. and on Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. Tickets are also available online at vfw1603auburncomedyshow.brownpapertickets.com

Doors open at 7 p.m. The show starts at 8 p.m.
