RUMFORD — The Napoleon-Ouellette American Legion Post 24 and Robert Shand Veterans of Foreign War Post 1641 are joining forces for a Veterans Day program at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, at Mountain Valley Middle School auditorium.
VFW Post Commander Edward J. Roach Jr. said he and American Legion Post Commander Marcel Martineau organized the observance to honor all veterans.
Veterans will march into the auditorium, followed by the organizations’ auxiliary members and others. Mountain Valley High School Music Department students will play marching music, while the Rumford Association for the Advancement of the Performing Arts will sing songs.
Tricia Thurston will be the main speaker. Dane Curato will speak about the American flag.
