BRIDGTON — The Bridgton Hospital Guild presented its 2015 gift to Bridgton Hospital at the annual meeting held at Campfire Grill Oct. 28.

The Bridgton Hospital Guild is a not-for-profit organization supporting Bridgton Hospital through various year-round fundraising initiatives by the volunteers, including the Twitchell Cafe and Thrift Shop.

Guild President Phyllis Ginzler presented a check for $42,000 to hospital president David Frum. The funds are earmarked for the purchase of two capital equipment items to benefit patients: a portable ventilator for $10,000 and $32,000 to assist with the cost of an ultrasound scanner.

In addition to the gift presentation, new officers were elected for 2016. They are: Phyllis Ginzler, president; Margery Blaney, vice president; Pamela Smith, secretary; Diana Fallon, treasurer; and Susan Campisano, corresponding secretary.

Guests for the event included Frum, along with John Ludwig, vice president, and Jill Rollins, director of nursing. Frum discussed the current state of Bridgton Hospital and Rollins’ focus was primarily on medication management at the hospital.

Winners of the donated raffle items were Fred Hammerle, Margery Blaney, Pamela King, Elna Stone, Emily Hammerle, Don Ineson and Pat Eng.
