NEWCASTLE (WGME) — Justin DiPietro, father of missing toddler Ayla Reynolds, was arrested on Route 1 in Newcastle and charged with OUI.
Police say the incident happened Nov. 6 and did not involve an accident.
Ayla was in her father Justin DiPietro’s care when he reported her missing Dec. 17, 2011. Investigators who found blood inside the home concluded the child is no longer alive and was a victim of foul play.
Ayla’s mother, Trista Reynolds, believes DiPietro had something to do with Ayla’s disappearance. Claims DiPietro has repeatedly denied.
State police say DiPietro stopped cooperating with the investigation.
