WATERVILLE — A Maine high school principal who allegedly asked a student to have sex with him is facing similar allegations at a New Hampshire school.
Don Reiter, principal of Waterville Senior High School in Maine, has been on paid administrative leave since Sept. 1. He hasn’t been charged with a crime. His lawyer says the evidence will show the allegations are false.
Since then, the Morning Sentinel reports police have been talking to former high school students of Reiter at Mascenic Regional High School in New Ipswich, New Hampshire. Waterville police Chief Joseph Massey says they allege he exhibited similar behavior.
Reiter’s attorney says he needs to know more about the latest allegations.
The Waterville school board is meeting Monday night to discuss the superintendent’s recommendation of Reiter’s dismissal.
