FARMINGTON — The Mt. Blue Regional School District music department’s upcoming winter concerts begin this week. The concerts will feature music students participating in the local schools’ bands, choruses and orchestras and are the opening performances of the 2015-2016 academic school year.

Thursday, Nov. 19: The Mt. Blue High School concert band and chorus will perform under the direction of Karen Beacham and Adrian St. Pierre. Patricia Hayden serves as concert accompanist. The concert will be held in the Bjorn Auditorium on the Mt. Blue Campus. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Thursday, Dec. 3: The grades seven through 12 orchestra concert will be presented in the Bjorn Auditorium on the Mt. Blue Campus under the direction of Steven Muise. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Tuesday, Dec. 8: Academy Hill School students will perform at 7 p.m. in the school gym. Ensembles performing are the fourth and fifth grade orchestras, the fifth grade concert band and the fifth grade chorus. The concert will be directed by Lindsay Burke, Krista Lyman and Steven Muise and accompanied by Patricia Hayden.

Wednesday, Dec. 9: Cascade Brook School students will perform in the Bjorn Auditorium on the Mt. Blue Campus 7 p.m. Ensembles performing are the fourth and fifth grade orchestras, the fifth grade concert band and the fifth grade chorus. The concert will be directed by Nancy Beacham, Krista Lyman, and Adrian St. Pierre. Patricia Hayden will be assisting as accompanist.

Thursday, Dec. 10: The Cape Cod Hill School music students will present their concert at 7 p.m. in the school gym. Ensembles performing are the fourth and fifth grade orchestras, the fifth grade concert band and the fifth grade chorus. Karen Beacham, Nancy Beacham and Lindsay Burke will direct this performance assisted by Patricia Hayden.

Wednesday, Dec. 16: Concluding the concert season are two concerts presented by Mt. Blue Middle School under the direction of Karen Beacham, Nancy Beacham, Lindsay Burke, Scott Dunbar, Krista Lyman and Steven Muise. Krista Lyman serves as concert accompanist. These concerts will be held in the Bjorn Auditorium on the Mt. Blue Campus. The sixth-grade concert band, orchestra, and chorus will perform at 6 p.m. The seventh and eight grade concert band and chorus will perform at 7:30 p.m.
