Holiday decoration sale Nov. 21
FARMINGTON — The doors of the Fairbanks School Meeting House will be opened from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at 508 Fairbanks Road for shoppers to buy new and gently used holiday decorations way below retail prices.
A large variety of Christmas items available will be ornaments, linens, cards and wrap, candles, snow scene houses, stockings, toys, artificial wreaths, trees, stands and lights. Indoor and outdoor decorations will be displayed throughout the hall for customers to buy.
There will also be Thanksgiving decorations and new and gently used gifts to purchase. Donations will be accepted.
Fairbanks School has ample parking and is wheelchair-accessible.

Poodunck Snowmobile Club to meet
DIXFIELD — The Poodunck Snowmobile Club will meet at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at the home of Jon Holmes, 32 Weld St.
The club will discuss the Think Snow Dance as well as the Blessing.

HEBRON — World War II veteran John Compton will speak to the Hebron Historical Society on the history of military awards and decorations at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at the Town Office, 351 Paris Road.

PARIS — Christian Women United luncheon will be served at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at the South Paris Congregational Church.

Pinewood Terrace Thanksgiving bake sale
FARMINGTON — Pinewood Terrace will host its annual Thanksgiving bake sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 136 Rosewood Drive.
Pies, yeast rolls, quick breads, whoopie pies, fudge, cookies and other baked goods will be for sale. All proceeds will go to the Activities Department.
Church to host Thanksgiving Eve
SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will host a light Thanksgiving Eve meal at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, followed by a service at 7 p.m.
Mad Hatter Tea Party Nov. 25
RUMFORD — This year marks the 150th anniversary of the publication of Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.” To celebrate this milestone, the Rumford Public Library will host a Mad Hatter Tea Party at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, in the public room.
All area children are welcome, and dressing up as a favorite Wonderland character is encouraged.
So don’t get caught saying, “I’m late, I’m late for a very important date!” Make plans to sip tea and follow Alice through the looking glass.
