AUBURN — New Auburn gets its own community holiday celebration Dec. 5, with a short parade, Christmas tree-lighting ceremony and visit from Santa Claus.

The parade begins at 4:30 p.m., starting at Gagnon and Son Concrete on Riverside Drive. It continues north to Mill Street and across Broad Street, ending at Rolly’s Diner parking lot at 5 p.m.

Floats include city of Auburn police, fire and public works vehicles, golf carts, four wheelers, trucks, trailers, the Marshall’s Popcorn wagon and Santa and his sleigh.

Santa Claus will be on hand to light the New Auburn Tree in Sullivan Park, next door to the diner. He’ll stay on hand to talk to the kids. Snacks are being provided by McDonald’s.
