TURNER — The Christmas season will officially get underway in Turner on Tuesday, Dec. 1, with the annual lighting of the Christmas tree, a visit from Santa Claus and music and treats for the entire family.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. at the Town Office. Music will be provided by Turner’s own Have Records, Will Travel, and the Leavitt Area High School’s Hornets in Harmony.

Santa will arrive by firetruck and, with help from the children, light the town’s Christmas tree. Santa will lead the children and their parents into the Town Office so they can tell him what they’d like for Christmas. There will also be treats and gifts for the children.
