1927 – 2015
AUBURN — Jean Carol Hodsdon, 88, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully on Monday, Nov. 16, at the Hospice House in Auburn with her sons by her side.
She was the daughter of Harold and Hilda Walsh Stevens. She had worked for several years at the Goodwill Store when it was on Lisbon Street in Lewiston. Carol was a sales associate for Bradlees department store where she retired after many years. Carol attended Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, where she was a member of Ladies of St. Anne Sodality.
Carol lived at Meadowview Apartments in Lewiston where she enjoyed playing bingo and playing cards with her many good friends. She was loved by all that knew her. Carol found great pleasure in making special quilts for her family. Her favorite pastime was reading, doing puzzles and watching golf, especially watching the Patriots and Red Sox win.
Carol is survived by her sons, Timothy Hodsdon (Tim) and his wife, Yolanda, of El Paso, Texas, and James Hodsdon (Jim) and his wife, Anita, of Livermore; her sister, Barbara Masson of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. She has nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, William Hodsdon (Bill); her son, Randy Hodsdon; her sisters, Florence Mae Elder and Nancy Dougal.
