SMHS fundraising with penny drive
JAY — The Spruce Mountain High School Student Council will host a school- and community-wide effort to collect food and funds to benefit the local food pantry.
Students will be competing in a week-long penny drive, beginning on Monday, Dec. 7, and ending on Friday, Dec. 12. Grade levels will be competing against each other to see who can collect the most money.
The community may donate spare change to the drive. A collection jar is located in the high school’s main office.
Additionally, we will have students available to collect food at the home basketball games on Friday, Dec. 11. Community members who donate two or more food items will be given free admission to the games.
