LEWISTON — The Lewiston Winter Farmers’ Market is open twice a month from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. through January. Remaining market dates are Dec. 6 and 20, Jan. 3 and 17.
This December, the Market will be featuring unique and local holiday gift ideas, including hand crafted soap and body lotions, holiday sweet treats, home-made jams, jellies, gift cards, jewelry, wreaths, Celtic Christmas ornaments and one-of-a-kind Asiatic Lilies. Also, holiday food offerings, including turkey and duck, fresh winter vegetables, artisan bread and cheese and homemade pies.
Special family friendly activities for the two December dates include holiday wreath and swag making on Dec. 6 and holiday cookie decorating on Dec. 20. A small donation is requested. Materials and activity space will be provided. There will also be live music by the markets’ regular musician Paul Puiia and family.
The Market will also offer brunch specials for dining in or to go at its Market Cafe on Dec. 20. SNAP (food stamps) and credit are accepted.
