FARMINGTON — Yvette Robinson of Farmington, vice chairwoman of the Regional School Unit 9 board, has resigned because her family is moving to Wilton.

Her term expires in 2016, Town Manager Richard Davis said.

Farmington selectmen are scheduled to discuss her resignation and the appointment of an interim director at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, at the Town Office.

Under state law selectmen can appoint a resident to the position until the next election in 2016.

Robinson was elected in 2013 to a three-year term. She had previously served on the board. She also had served on the Mallett School Building Committee, RSU 9 board’s Finance Committee and Visioning Committee.
