PARIS — The Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District and Natural Resources Conservation Service will hold a meeting, open to the public, of the Oxford County USDA Local Work Group from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 17, at the Oxford County Extension Office, 9 Olson Road.

The Local Work Group will provide recommendations for the 2017 Environmental Quality Incentives Program to its local USDA-NRCS for local natural resource priorities and criteria for conservation activities and programs.

Topics of discussion in Oxford County will include agricultural waste, forestry, pastureland, cropland, wildlife and high tunnels. Other issues and areas of concern can be discussed as well, and a list will be compiled of priorities recognized by this group.
