The Maine Principals’ Association announced on Tuesday that the streaming rights to the North and South regional high school basketball semifinals and finals has been awarded to the Northeast Sports Network, Inc. (NSN) of Lyndonville, Vt.

All 60 games from Bangor, Augusta, and Portland will be provided free to the viewer via internet,

Northeast Sports Network (NSN) is a New England-based company founded in 2006 that specializes in live athletic event production, web streaming and web hosting. Its 10 years of experience includes being the exclusive production and web streaming provider for 15 collegiate athletic programs throughout New England and New York.

NSN also has extensive experience providing high school webcasts in Vermont and New Hampshire including regular season and championship coverage of over 2000 games.

Under the agreement, NSN will provide high-definition, live video streams. The production will include three camera angles, instant replay, a full graphics package, commercial and advertising insertion, with play-by-play, color commentary and instant archiving.

Games will be viewable on all smart phones, tablets, computers and smart TVs.

“We are excited to be working with such an experienced streaming provider,” MPA Executive Director Dick Durost said in a press release. “This successfully completes our basketball tournament coverage package.”

The NFHS Network will stream regional quarterfinals, as was the case the past two years. MPBN, which announced earlier this fall that it would not be able to provide regional semifinal and final coverage due to the new expanded tournament, has been awarded rights to the 10 state championship games.
