EUSTIS – Police said a local man is accused of physically assaulting two teenagers Thursday night outside the Lake Shore Apartments on Old Dead River Road in Stratton Village.
Jonathan Libby, 28, was charged by summons with two misdemeanor counts of assault, Lt. David Rackliffe of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Cpl. Matthew Brann and Deputy Andrew Morgan responded to a report of assault against a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old boy at 7:29 p.m. Both teens are from Eustis.
Libby told deputies that the boys had been mouthing off to him, Rackliffe said. The boys and Libby are not related, he said.
Each conviction on the misdemeanor charge is punishable by up to 364 days in jail.
