LEWISTON — French Club, a Franco Center course for children ages 8 to 12, will be offered again in the Children’s Room of the Lewiston Public Library on six consecutive Tuesdays from 4 to 5 p.m. beginning Jan. 12.

Children with a background in French, or who know some basic French, will practice the language with games and other activities in a relaxed setting. The Franco Center is able to provide this program free of charge through a grant from the French American Cultural Exchange.

Marie Emmons, a native of Nantes, France, teaches French with games, songs and crafts.

Participants can park for free in the Centreville Garage; parking validation is available at the Children’s Desk. All library programs are free, but space in the French Club is limited and parents are encouraged to call the Children’s Room at 207-513-3133 to register.
