1991 – 2016

BOSTON, Mass. — Rachel Dubois, 24, of Sabattus, died on Monday, Jan. 4, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, Mass., after a courageous fight with cystic fibrosis.

She was born in Lewiston on June 5, 1991, to parents Richard Dubois Sr. and LeeAnn R. Kennedy.

Rachel’s true passion was driving her race car. She also loved four-wheeling, snowmobiling and crafting. Rachel especially loved her family and friends and her rescue fur babies.

She worked at Grant’s Bakery in Lewiston, her second family, since she was 16 years old.

She leaves behind her father and stepmom, Richard N. Dubois and Kelly Chase; her mother, LeeAnn R. Kennedy; her brothers, Richard Jr., Joe and Rob; her grandparents, Bob Dubois and companion, Colleen, Madelyn Dubois and companion, Willie, Sylvia and David Hammond, and Edwin and Laura Russell Sr.; her uncles, Dan Dubois, Mike and wife, Deb Dubois, and Edwin Jr. and wife, Lori Russell; and many cousins and close friends.

Rachel was predeceased by her great-grandmother; and her English bulldog, Cinda.
