1927 – 2016

BERLIN, N.H. — Leo “Paul” Poulin, 88, of Gorham, N.H, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 7, at the Coos County Nursing Home in Berlin, N.H.

He was born in Berlin, N.H., on Nov. 25, 1927, the son of Edmond and Marianne (Robert) Poulin. He had resided in Berlin, N.H., until 1978 when he moved to Port Orange, Fla., where he lived for 27 years. He moved back to Gorham, N.H., in 2005. Paul had been employed as a truck driver for Lavigne’s Red Wing Express and later for Adley Express from which he retired in 1966 after becoming disabled. He had been a member of Guardian Angel Church and was most recently a member of Holy Family Church. He was also a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Family includes his daughters, Jeannine (Jeanie) Begin and husband, Bob, of Lisbon, Patty Grondin and husband, Roger, of Jefferson, N.H., and Lou Addington and husband, Bill, of Jefferson, N.H.; grandchildren, Michael Begin of Auburn and Gregory Begin of Lewiston; six great-grandchildren; sister, Lorette Gregoire of Littleton, N.H.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

He was predeceased by his wife, Doris (Carrier) Poulin; grandchildren, Amos Paul Grondin and Katie Addington; and several brothers and sisters.
