TURNER — A 30-year-old Turner man was killed Friday night when his Jeep Liberty rolled over on Route 117, Turner Center Road.

The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department said Jeromy Tanguay was traveling east on Turner Center Road at about 11:20 p.m. Friday when his 2004 Jeep Liberty left the roadway on the right-hand side.

The vehicle went down a small embankment, rolled over and came to rest in the eastbound lane of the road at the Long Meadow Estates intersection, according to a written statement.

Tanguay was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tanguay was the only occupant of the Jeep. A passing motorist saw the Jeep on its roof and called emergency responders.

Turner Fire and Rescue responded with Androscoggin County deputies. The road was closed for about three hours while the scene was cleared. The accident is still under investigation, according to the statement from the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Department.
