AUBURN — Two Lewiston residents accused of robbing Schrep’s Corner Store in Turner twice last month remained in the Androscoggin County Jail on Tuesday night, officials said.

William Thomas Currier, 25, of 592 College St. and Richelle Ramsey, 23, of Tampa Street were arrested Jan. 5 by Maine State Police, according to officials.

Currier is being held without bail on two charges of theft, one charge of burglary and one charge of violation of conditions of release, a jail officer said.

Ramsey is being held on one charge of theft, two charges of burglary and one charge of unauthorized taking or transfer. She has been unable to post a total of $2,000 cash bail, the officer said.

The two are accused of breaking into the store at 1093 Upper St. on Dec. 19 and 27, 2015, and taking a total of $7,500 cash, the state police Facebook post said. A search warrant led to evidence of the burglaries, it said.

Troopers Shane Sullivan and Tyler Stevenson investigated the case.
