LIVERMORE FALLS — A Leeds man fell asleep driving home from work Wednesday morning, causing his car to snap a utility pole beside Park Street/Route 133 into three pieces, officer Steve Gould said.
Alex Henry, 21, was not injured, Gould said.
The accident happened at 9:55 a.m.
Power was out for about three hours, Gould said. Phone, Internet and cable services were out for a longer period.
The road was closed for about three hours while a new pole was set and lines were reattached.
Livermore Falls and Wayne firefighters detoured traffic around the area.
