WILTON — Maine warden Dan Christianson on Wednesday warned the owner of an ice shack that fell through ice on Wilson Lake that it must be removed.
Warden Dan Christianson said the owner called late Tuesday afternoon to say the shack was out of the water and sitting on 6 inches of ice. The owner said the shack was broken up and he planned to cut it up Wednesday.
By noon Wednesday, it remained at the foot of the lake.
The shack partially fell through the ice Tuesday and six men pulled it out of the water, Police Chief Heidi Wilcox said.
