CARRABASSETT VALLEY — The Carrabassett Valley Public Library will offer a computer class for senior citizens, an adult coloring program and start a tool-lending library this month.

The Beginner Computer Class for Seniors will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. beginning Wednesday, Jan. 27. The class will be held every Wednesday for six weeks and will include such topics as creating a Gmail account, accessing email, as well as creating and using folders and tags to organize an inbox.

Attendees will also learn how to use a browser and access the Internet in a safe manner. This class is free; space is limited and preregistration required. FMI, preregister: 207-237-3535.

The Adult Coloring Program will get under way from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21. Adult coloring is an activity that may provide fun, relaxation and stress relief. Free coloring pages, gel pens, colored pencils, markers and crayons will be provided.

A tool-lending library is in the beginning stages. Various garden and yard tools will be collected, catalogued and available for lending. There could be some recreational, kitchen and child care items. Items donated should be in good to excellent condition.

Inspection times of donated items are from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan 28, and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 30, in the Begin Room at the library. Items must be in good working order and must be approved before accepting the donation. No drop-offs will be accepted.

Winter hours for the library are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 3 p.m.
