BRIDGTON — Seven acts were whittled down to four on Jan. 17 at one of the semifinalist performances of Lake Region’s Got Talent at the Magic Lantern on Depot Street.

The next Lake Region’s Got Talent semifinal performance is at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, at the Magic Lantern.

Five judges scored the acts and gave feedback to the contestants. The judges were Patty Hibbert, Jenni Null, Laurie Shepard, Barb Stauble and Jerry Walker.

Master of ceremonies Peter Allen of Gorham announced that the following acts will move on to the semifinals: Brianna Warren of Casco, a dancer who used her graceful, yet athletic moves to tell the story of “The Mask”; vocalist Abbie Vaughn of Brownfield, who took comments the judges made last year and applied them as she sang “My Immortal”; the Windham team of Liza Collins-Schrader, Kristin Farwell and Laura Taylor who graced the stage with synchronized movement and used facial expressions in their interpretation of the song “Can’t Rely on You”; and vocalist Amanda-Grace Neddenriep of Stow, who carried the high notes in “Titanium” with the pure, gentle quality of her voice.

The top eight acts of Lake Region’s Got Talent, including these four and last week’s quarterfinal winners, will battle it out on stage in the semifinals. Last week’s quarterfinal winners were vocalist Willow Carter of Fryeburg, vocalist Marissa Morrissette, and dancers Kristin Farwell and Liza Schrader-Collins, all of Windham.

During the semifinals on Sunday, Jan. 24, the judges, with help from the audience, will narrow the field down to six acts. Those six finalists will compete on Jan. 31 to see who will be named as the top three Lake Region talents.
