1934 – 2016

ENFIELD, Conn. — Marcel F. Levesque, 81, of Enfield, Conn., passed away peacefully at home on Monday, Jan. 11, with his loved ones at his side.

He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Cecile M. (Milliard) Levesque.

Marcel was born in Auburn on April 25, 1934, son of the late Olivier and Emilienne (Caron) Levesque and resided in Enfield, Conn., since 1961. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps Platoon 146 in South Carolina.

He worked for Western Union as a teletype repair technician for 24 years. He enjoyed vacations with his family and cruises with his friends. He loved wood crafting, making wall plaques, Christmas ornaments, pins and magnets.

He was a member of St. Martha’s Church in Enfield, Conn., and a past member of the Knights of Columbus No. 50, Enfield, Conn.

He is survived by his wife and their children, Annette of Valrico, Fla., Rene and his wife, Sue, of Springfield, Mass., Leo and his wife, Jayne, of Manchester, Ga., Monique of Enfield, Conn., Aline of Enfield, Conn., and Collette Carroll of Enfield, Conn. He was grandfather of nine, great-grandfather of eight and had many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Maurice Levesque.
