AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St., announces its calendar of teen programs for February:

Tweens in the Teen Space: noon to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 3, 10 and 24, in the Teen Space on the second floor on half-day Wednesdays. Crafts or board games available. Students can hang out or get a head start on homework. Just for Tweens who are in sixth grade.

Teen Anime Club: 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, in the Androscoggin Community Room. Teens, ages 12-18, can drop in to talk about their favorite (or least favorite) manga, watch the week’s selection of anime and try a hand at drawing their own characters. Includes a snack.

Teen Life Skills: Healthy Relationships: 3 to 4 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 4, 11, 18 and 25, in the Teen Space. Just for teens, ages 12-18. February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Schools and teen centers all over the country are participating in special activities. Julia Teitel, Androscoggin County community educator for Safe Voices, will be available for a game or activity centered around dating and healthy relationships. Snacks, candy and prizes.

Teens! Friday @ the Movies, “Remember the Titans”: 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, in the Androscoggin Community Room. Teens, ages 12-18. “Remember the Titans” is “the true story of a newly appointed African-American coach and his high school team on their first season as a racially integrated unit,”according to Internet Movie Database. Snacks.

Teens! Snack Chat!: 3 to 4 p.m. Mondays, Feb. 8 and 22, in the Teen Space. Twice a month teens can have a healthy after-school snack and engage in  conversation about current events. Just for teens ages 12-18.

Futures Lab: 6 p.m. to close, Mondays, Feb. 8 and 22, in the computer lab. Students, teens and adults working on their post-secondary aspirations are welcome. Whether a student is starting his/her college search, completing online applications or working on financial aid paperwork, there will be a college navigator and/or a representative from College for Maine Androscoggin on hand to answer questions.

Gaming Hour: 4 to 5 p.m Wednesday, Feb. 10, and Friday, Feb. 19, in the Androscoggin Community Room on lower level for video games and snacks. XBox and Wii (rated teen and younger). Teens, ages 12-18.

Teens! Flashback Friday: 4 to 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, in the Teen Space. Legos, Play Doh, puzzles and Candyland. Featuring childhood favorite snacks. Teens, ages 12-18.

Maine Job Corps: 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, in the conference room. Teens and new adults. Jill Moody of the Maine Job Corps visits to explain how the program works and who is eligible.

Teens! DIY Takeover: Knitting!: 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17, in the Teen Space. Teens, 12-18. A new project on the third Wednesday of each month. This month is knitting. Teens can bring a project to show or learn how. Instructor, needles and yarn provided.

DIY Teens! Media Club: 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, in the CREATE! Media Lab. Movies, music, graphic arts — those who can imagine it can create it in the Media Lab. Teens ages 12-18 can join the club. Those attending will make trailers and podcasts.

SAPARS: 3 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, in the Teen Space. Just for teens. Those attending can visit with Molly from Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services to discuss and create awareness of teen issues. This month, she will join Julia from Safe Voices for Relationship Jeopardy! Snacks.

APL Farmer’s Market: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26. The library invites all ages to one of the biggest family events of the year — the annual Indoor Farmer’s Market. Vendors of homegrown and homemade foods plus a mixture of jams, jellies, handmade agricultural goods and sweet treats. The event also features small farm animals for all to pet and live music featuring Aaron Wardwell.
