1939 – 2016

LEWISTON — Mariette R. Hebert, 76, died peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at her home with her family by her side after succumbing to a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.

Mariette was born in Lewiston on June 8, 1939, the daughter of Avila and Alexandra Fournier. She attended St. Dominic’s Regional High School. Mariette married the love of her life, Richard Hebert. The two of them enjoyed traveling abroad and attending their grandchildren’s hockey games. They both enjoyed frequent trips to Moosehead Lake, where the pair often were seen fishing together. Mariette owned and operated Morin’s Bridal World for many years. She will be remembered for her endearing and kindhearted nature, as well as a deep love for her husband and family.

Mariette is survived by her son, Michael and wife, Lisa; two grandchildren, Simon and Alexandra; a brother, Fern Fournier and his wife, Anita Fournier.

She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Hebert; and parents, Avila and Alexandra Fournier.
