Coalition to host free Family Ski Nights

FARMINGTON — Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County (HCC) will offer a free family ski night from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Titcomb Mountain.

Funding to make the event possible is provided through the Drug-Free Communities grant and the Carol M. White PEP grant, with a focus on getting youth and families active in the community.

In addition, HCC is organizing free family events during school vacation week, Feb. 15 to 19 , that include bowling, sledding and ice skating for RSU 9 children and their families.

On Friday, Feb. 19, HCC programs will partner with University Credit Union to offer an additional night of free family skiing at Titcomb from 4 to 8 p.m. HCC staff will be at the lodge to hand out lift tickets. Monty Moose will be there, and there will be games, goodies and giveaways.

American Legion to hold indoor sale

PARIS — South Paris American Legion Post 72 will hold an indoor sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6.

Tables may be reserved for $10 for yard sale items and $15 for crafters and vendors. The lunch counter will be open, and there will be a 50/50 raffle.

Future sales will be held at the same time, Saturdays, March 5, April 9 and May 14.

Proceeds from the sales will help the Auxiliary send three girls to Girls State.

Final Keep Me Warm supper of season

FAYETTE — The final Keep Me Warm supper for the season will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday Feb. 6, at the Fayette School.

Saturday boutique, breakfast

WAYNE — First Saturday at the Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road, will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 6. There will be a book sale and “boutique” breakfast.

Stop by for coffee or tea and quiche or a scone and shop at the ongoing book sale and boutique.

Open Mic Night, dinner at grange

WILTON — Open Mic Night and a dinner will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Wilson Grange 321, Main St., East Wilton.

Dinner, from 5 to 7 p.m., will include shepherd’s pie, ?bread?, salad, beverage and dessert. Cost will be $5. Music will run from 7 to 9 p.m. Donations will be accepted.

Meeting to plan choir celebration

PARIS – An organizational meeting for the 50th anniversary celebration of the Oxford Hills Viking Choir will be held, Thursday, Feb. 4 at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

The reunion concert on June 18 will feature the students who sang in the choir and a chance to find out where they are now and what they have done with music since they left Oxford Hills.

The organizational meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the art room at the high school.

Former and current members are invited to participate in the planning of the June 18 event. The festivities will start with a reception and rehearsal on Friday, June 17.
